This is a phishing attempt first reported to CSULB ITS on April 1, 2015.
From: California State University, Long Beach [firstname.lastname@example.org]
Sent: Wednesday, April 01, 2015 3:45 PM
Email informs recipient that many CSULB accounts have been used to send spam and for security purposes to click on link to provide account information to re0activate their account, which presumably has been "shut down." The link goes to a fraudulent website from the UK .
Intent of the Email
The sender is attempting to obtain BeachID account credentials for their own malicious purposes. The fraudulent site has been reported as abuse to the website host company.
