2016-17 (Completed) – Core services implemented to support Office 365, including Skype for Business (formerly Lync Online) and OneDrive for Business, Office ProPlus downloads, SharePoint: Core services to support O365 integration implemented and made available to employees with department- and unit-IT staff members' assistance on client installs and end-user support. Through O365, current employees may install Office suite on up to 5 PC/Mac computers, phones, and tablets, each.
Fall 2017 – Prepare for the migration of campus mailboxes to O365: As part of decommissioning of designated on-premises servers, campus mailboxes will be prepared for the move to O365. Included in the transition are updates to back end-provisioning processes affecting Exchange provisioning as well as the development of processes to move email accounts from campus to O365.
January 5, 2018 – Migrate Exchange Mailboxes to O365: Starting January 5, 2018, employee Exchange mailboxes, including user mailboxes, shared mailboxes, and room/equipment mailboxes will be migrated to O365.
February 1, 2018 – Migration Completed: All Exchange mailboxes successfully migrated to O365 and campus infrastructure and networking configurations completed.
