One known issue has been discovered after migrating CSULB Distribution Groups to Office 365. If any member of a distribution group has created a personal inbox rule within their email account or accounts, those previous inbox rules will not work after March 9, 2018. In order to re-employ such an inbox rule, they will have to be recreated.
The following example may help illustrate the issue.
Suppose a distribution group exists with these members:
- Member A
- Member B
- Member C
Now suppose Member A has created an inbox rule in their firstname.lastname@example.org email account, which when it receives an email distributed to CSULB-DistributionXYZ@csulb.edu, it forwards a copy of that email to a coworker. This inbox rule will no longer work after March 9, so if anyone has created such a rule and wishes to keep it, they will have to recreate it.
