This is a phishing attempt first reported to CSULB ITS on October 29, 2018.

Subject: Deposit change

Summary

The fraudulent email comes from a personal account claiming to be someone else. The recipient is directed to assist the phisher with changing their direct deposit account.  

Intent of the Email

The phisher/sender may be attempting to capture account credentials of the person they claim to be for their own malicious purposes.
