This is a phishing attempt first reported to CSULB ITS on January 23, 2018.

Subject:  Technical Support Team

The fraudulent email claims that the recipient's email could not be upgraded and to click on a click to upgrade.  CSULB never asks employees to click on a link to avoid deactivating their email account.  Account deactivations happen automatically based on your campus role and employee or student status.

Intent of the Email

The phisher/sender is attempting to capture email account credentials for their own malicious purposes.  The offending page has been reported as abuse to the web host company.
