This is a phishing attempt first reported to CSULB ITS on January 17, 2018.

Subject: Email Notification
The fraudulent email comes from a compromised CSULB email account and claims that the recipient's email quota has been reached and to click on a link to "validate" their mailbox. CSULB would never ask employees to click on a link to "validate" their mailbox or to increase their quota. The compromised CSULB account is being addressed.
Intent of the Email
The phisher/sender is attempting to capture email account credentials for their own malicious purposes.
