This is a phishing attempt first reported to CSULB ITS on July 11, 2017.

Subject:  Your CSULB Webmail Session Has Expired

 

Summary

The fraudulent email informs recipients that their CSULB webmail session expired and to click on a link to reactivate their account.  In this instance, the Outlook email client's fraud detection checks correctly indicates that this email is potential spoofing.   

Intent of the Email

The sender is attempting to capture email account credentials for their own malicious purposes or to install malware. The link has been blocked from being accessed while on the campus network.
