This is a phishing attempt first reported to CSULB ITS on January 19, 2015. Three variations of this Phishing attempt have been reported.

Summary of Email #1

Email informs recipient that their mailbox is almost full and outdated and to click on a link to upgrade their email account. The link goes to a fraudulent page, which has been reported to the website host company.

Summary of Email #2

Email informs recipient that their mailbox has exceeded its storage limit and will not receive new emails until they click on a link to upgrade. The link goes to a fraudulent page.

Summary of Email #3

Email informs recipient that their mailbox has almost exceeded its storage limit and will be deleted unless they click on a link to update the account. The link goes to a fraudulent page, which has been reported to the website host company.

Intent of the Emails

The sender is attempting to obtain BeachID account credentials for their own malicious purposes.
